While I was in Seattle, I went to a roller derby bout, and immediately fell in love. What's not to like about it? It's totally like a mosh pit on wheels, and anybody that knows me knows that I love me my mosh pits. It was then that I decided I had to be a part of this.

I did some research and found the Rose City Rollers here in my beloved home of Portland, OR. I'm excited to go hang out and try to get on the Fresh Meat Team until I am awesome enough to be on one of the actual teams.

There's just one downfall: I need some serious cash to be able to buy all the equipment I need to not die in the process, and also roll.

I'm swallowing my pride and requesting donations to help me buy my equipment so that I can raise some hell and join the derby. Once I get the skates, I will post pictures and maybe video of me trying to remember how to stand on them. Once I actually join, this site will be updated regulary with my exploits and progress.
